Cape Winelands

Wine estates set among mountains and old Cape Dutch buildings.

Stellenbosch, founded in 1679, is the second-oldest town in South Africa. Franschhoek was settled by French Huguenots in 1688. The area produces Chenin Blanc and Pinotage, a South African cross of Pinot Noir and Cinsaut created in 1925.
